Hey guys! As I’ve mentioned perhaps 100 times before, what we wanted with our renovation was for it to feel special, but let’s be honest, we lacked the budget to try and do anything bespoke.

Luckily, we came up with an entire heap of how to make a bespoke-y feeling space, without completely blowing the budget. within the kitchen, it had been all about creating kitchen cabinets that felt designer and interesting, without having to make a bespoke kitchen from scratch (which, quite frankly, is merely something you are doing when you’ve tons of money to splash). seems we were ready to do that easily!

HOW TO CREATE A BESPOKE KITCHEN

Choosing The Cabinets

Something I have loved for an extended time may be a clique with a recessed panel profile. this is often a glance I even have been searching high and low for and was so happy to get that Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Long Island NY did it. Although it is often seen as a traditional shape of the cabinet door, I feel when mixed with a couple of interesting design elements like doorknobs and other furniture you'll make them feel modern and chic. Ben then designed the kitchen using the size of the cupboards – I like how he inset the pantry cabinets into the wall to offer them a very modern feel. For inside the cupboards, we went with a mixture of shelves and pull-out metal baskets, meaning there's a lot of storage.

How To Paint Your Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Thing You Need

Kitchen Cabinets – we used the ‘Alpine’ profile from Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Long Island NY

Primer paint

Chosen paint color

Paintbrushes

  Drop cloths

Sandpaper

STEP 1

Layout your cabinet doors, using drop cloths to guard the surfaces. The doors we used came in boxes so we used them to guard the surfaces!

STEP 2

Prepping is a crucial just part of the method to make sure a pleasant finish that lasts. Putting the specified effort into the preparation like cleaning and sanding is as essential as painting. Begin by wiping down any dust.

STEP 3

You shouldn’t get to sand the doors that much if they're new, but it never hurts to offer them a once over.

 STEP 4

Following the exact direction of the grain just apply a primer. this is often even more important if the color you're painting the piece of furniture is lighter than your base. Allow the primer to dry ideally overnight for a far better outcome.

 STEP 5

Just once the primer would be dried, give the doors a once over with sandpaper. Then, apply the primary coat of paint and permit it to dry fully between each coating. Two or three coats could also be necessary for a good finish. Once the doors will be dry, attach them to the cupboards!

What is a Custom Cabinet?

Custom cabinets are storage areas that are measured, designed, and built to suit a singular room. they'll be mounted to the ceiling or the ground.

Custom cabinets are storage cabinets that are built specifically for a specific area during which they're going to be used. an expert carpenter or cabinetmaker can measure each space within an area then plan and style cabinets to match the layout and measurements of the space. Custom cabinets are specially created to suit all walls, to open around obstacles, and to succeed in the specified heights. This prevents the cupboard units from being overlarge or too small. they're built to order during a remote workshop before they're assembled on-site and installed within the home. Although the latest cabinets are available in premade modular units, custom cabinets offer options for any design or space. Custom cabinets are especially useful in multipurpose rooms or around appliances that aren't a typical size. Custom cabinets are often made up of a spread of wood and should have wood, tin, or glass doors.
